September. The end of the summer, kids have gone back to school and the summer holidays feel like a distant memory. But do not despair, there are loads of wonderful wine festivals going on in America to cheer you up and help the summer live on just that little bit longer.
Mountain View Art &Wine Festival. 9-10 Sept. Mountain View, CA
This festival, now in it’s 46th year, is one for all the family with activities arranged for children as well as adults.
Everfest say: Voted “Best Festival in the South Bay” multiple times, the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is a stellar sensory feast. If the vibrant multicultural vibe, the live music on stage and streets throughout downtown or the handcrafted work of 600+ top artists isn’t enough to get you hooked, then maybe the fabulous food and festive drinks, the party lounge, or the health, wellness, home, garden and green product exhibits and displays will. Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest. 9-10 Sept. Dutchess County Fairgrounds|6550 Spring Brook Ave, Rhinebeck, NY
The Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest official website says, The Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest is a celebration of the bounty of New York. Our food and wine festival features hundreds of wines from Hudson Valley wineries and beyond, NY distilled spirits, craft beers and gourmet specialty foods from all over the country. Learn more about wine with our educational seminars and brush up on your culinary skills with cooking demonstrations from regional celebrity chefs throughout the weekend. Satisfy your hunger with delectable treats from our Gourmet Food Truck Corral. This annual event takes place the second weekend of September in Rhinebeck, New York at the Duchess County Fairgrounds.
With over 40 wineries attending, all from NY, there is plenty to be tried, tested and learned.

Colorado Mountain Winefest. 14-17 Sept. Riverbend Park|451 Pendleton St Palisade, CO
Take in all that Colorado Winefest has to offer from food and wine pairings, chocolate and wine tastings, educational seminars and more. The “Festival in the Park” takes place on Saturday, September 16, 2017 and is the state’s largest and oldest wine festival featuring dozens of Colorado wineries, live music, a grape stomp, chef demonstrations & seminars, say the official website.
Maryland Wine Festival. 16-17 Sept. Carroll County Farm Museum|500 South Center Street, Westminster, MD.
Everfest describe this festival as such, The Maryland Wine Festival is an annual event that celebrates the rich history of American vineyards. Since its first edition in 1984, the number of wineries and of guests continues to grow. During the event, vendors display a massive variety of wines that guests can sample while listening to a lineup of talented local bands. Furthermore, attendees can enjoy educational activities like seminars about wine and winemaking, an amateur wine judging contest and winemaking demonstrations. The festival offers wine lovers a relaxed setting where they can explore different varietals and learn more about the history of the industry and the making of this extraordinary beverage.

Kansas City Wine and Roses. 21 Sept. Jacob L. Loose Park|5200 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO
The profits from this festival are put towards the upkeep of the rather splendid and picturesque rose gardens. The Kansas City Wine and Roses is an annual event that includes wine and gourmet food pairings, as well as ballet, jazz and roses. A beautiful event with a beautiful purpose.

North East Wine Country Harvest Festival. 22-24 Sept. North East, PA.
From its modest beginnings in 1981 as a small street fair to the exciting regional event it is today, the Wine Country Harvest Festival – affectionately known as WineFest – has continued to improve with age, just like fine wine. WineFest encompasses two parks: Gibson Park, one of the original downtown festival venues, and Gravel Pit Park, the largest festival site.
Attendees have the opportunity to sample 100 different wines, enjoy the sounds of dozens of entertainers, try their luck at grape stomping, and meander through hundreds of exhibitor tents. Part street fair, part arts and crafts festival, part music festival, part harvest festival, today’s WineFest hosts an average of 20,000 visitors from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Ontario, and beyond who come to sample the best wines from the region and experience a weekend celebration of music, art and the fruits of the vine!

Naples Grape Festival. 23-24 September. Naples High School Grounds|136 N Main St Naples, NY
The official website says, Since 1961, the grape festival is held every September in our valley to celebrate the areas grape harvest, talented artisans, wine makers, local and regional music and cuisine.
The Naples Grape Festival is held at the Naples High School Grounds and across the street at Memorial Town Hall from 10am till 5pm, rain or shine. Come and enjoy wine, food, arts, crafts and local/regional music. Bake a pie for the World’s Greatest Grape Pie Contest and sample every thing “grape” that our valley has to offer.

Georgetown Wine & Music on the Square. 30th Sept. Georgetown Square|701 South Main Street, Georgetown, TX
With more than 10 local wineries as well as live music, local vendors and businesses all come together to host what will be the 10th annual Georgetown Wine & Music festival, it promises to be a wonderful day of wine, food, arts and crafts. A fun filled day for the whole family.
