5 Best Rosé Cocktails for Fun in the Sun
Hey wine lovers! It’s Rosé time! Summer is here, the flowers are blooming all around us and as the sun begins to shine down, we are all turning to a more chilled and refreshing drink to quench our thirst. What better than a soft pink rosé – simply poured on their own as a refreshing aperitif, or partnered with our favourite meals…
However, even though we never get bored of rosé – we do like to play. So here’s how you can easily impress your friends and make some fantastic cocktails with it.
#1 Rosénade
Serves 1
Ingredients
1 oz. Absolut Citron
5 oz. rosé
2 basil leaves, ripped
1 lemon wedge
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1 1/2 oz. club soda
Directions
1. Muddle basil, lemon, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
2. Next, fill the shaker with ice, and add the vodka and wine.
3. Stir, and pour unstrained into stemless wineglass.
4. Finish it off by topping the cocktail with club soda, and garnish with lemon wedge.
#2 Rosé Sangria
Servings: Makes 1 pitcher
Ingredients
1 bottle rosé
1 1/2 cups elderflower liqueur
1 pack raspberries
6 lemon wheels
6 grapefruit slices
1 bottle club soda
Directions
1. Combine the rosé, elderflower liqueur, raspberries, lemon wheels, and grapefruit slices into a pitcher, and refrigerate for one hour.
2. Pour into wineglasses over ice, and top with club soda.
3. Complete the cocktail with a grapefruit slice perched on the rim of the glass.
#3 Rosé Wine Cocktail
Serves 1
Ingredients
1-2 lemon wedges
1-2 slices of grapefruit
Ice
6oz rosé wine
1 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz simple syrup, to taste
Directions
1. Muddle the lemon wedges and grapefruit in the bottom of a glass. Add in the ice, rosé, gin and stir well. Add in the simple syrup to your desired sweetness. Strain into a wine glass and add the muddled lemon and grapefruit.
#4 Frosé Cocktail
Ingredients
2 ounces rosé
1 ounce of vodka
1 ounce of fresh watermelon juice
ice
watermelon wedges and mint to garnish
Directions
1. Combine ingredients in a blender with ice.
2. Serve in a coupe glass and garnish with watermelon wedge and mint.
#5 Blackberry Bellini
Ingredients
100ml cold sparkling rosé (preferably pink prosecco)
A handful of ripe, juicy blackberries
30ml plain vodka
10ml lemon juice
One teaspoon caster sugar
Instructions
1. Place the blackberries in a cocktail shaker and muddle – gently squash them – with the back of a long spoon.
2. Add ice cubes, vodka, lemon juice and sugar and shake, then strain into a champagne flute.
3. Top up with cold sparkling rosé.
