23 Oct 6 Frighteningly Good Things To Do With Wine This Halloween!
Ghosts, ghouls, witches, need I go on? Halloween is a spooky time of year. The perfect excuse for some wine drinking obviously (what isn’t though to be fair)!
So to make this year more interesting, we have searched high and low for something a little different to do with wine, for this years Halloween celebrations.
Take a look at our 6 favourite things to do with wine this Halloween:
Wine Gummy Bears
Halloween is one of only a handful of times throughout the year that we can eat an unlimited amounts of sweets without feeling bad about it, infact it would be criminal not to. Why not whip up a batch of these wine gummy bears for an extra special treat this year?
To make these happy treats you need only 3 ingredients: wine, sugar and gelatin (oh, and some gummy bear molds would come in handy of course). Find the full recipe, plus instructions here.
Witches’ Brew
The secret to this spooky drink is of course dry ice. Aside from that simply add Orange juice, lemon juice, apple cider and sparkling wine and there you have it, fuel for all the witches out there. To make this drink child friendly you can add grape juice rather than wine and a fizzy apple drink rather than cider.
For full instructions see here.
Red Wine Lollipops
Back down the sweetie road, these are the perfect treat for any wine loving adult. They are simple to make and you could even use some spooky shaped molds to make them even scarier. I’m thinking spider shaped molds for mine, what will you use?
These lollipops are made using only a full-bodied red wine, sugar, corn syrup and a pinch of sea salt. The process involves heating all of the ingredients before simply transferring the mixture into the molds and then leaving them to set, you could even enjoy a class of wine while waiting, why not? Super simple, super delicious!

Caramel Apple Mimosas
Caramel Apples are one of the most traditional Autumn/Halloween treats. Why not give delish.com‘s rather good looking caramel apple mimosas a go? As they say booze + no gooey mess = the best caramel apple we’ve ever had. Sounds great to us. To make these special Halloween variations of the old favourite you will need caramel, apple cider, caramel vodka, cinnamon sugar and of course Champagne. You can also add some apple slices to garnish.

Red Wine Hot Chocolate
The ultimate indulgence, wine in chocolate. Oh my, this really does sound heavenly. Not to mention warm and comforting, everything we’re looking for in a Halloween treat. Thank you Immaeatthat for what could be one of the best ideas ever! They do warn however, that this is a pretty rich treat, so maybe we’ll just take a small cup, for now at least.

Blackberry Apple Spooky Sangria
The perfect spooky looking drink to impress your guests at this year’s Halloween party is this one for sure. It looks the part as well as tasting great too, a definite success. The recipe by in Katrina’s Kitchen starts by making some black ice using a dark juice such as grape or cranberry and mixing it with black food colouring. Then in a jug stir together another cup of dark juice, a bottle of red wine, 1/2 cup blackberries and 2 spiralized apples (I knew there had to be a use for that thing). Just before serving add the black ice made earlier and Voi-la!

So whatever you are doing this Halloween, do it with wine. There is something here for all you wine lovers out there. Worried about waste? No problem, with our scarily good wine stoppers, any left over wine is safe long after the party has finished and the guests are gone. Nothing to get spooked about there.
Happy Halloween!!
